Former President Donald Trump is returning to New Hampshire, which holds the first Republican primary in 2024.
Trump on April 27 “will deliver remarks in Manchester, New Hampshire,” per his campaign. The 4 p.m. event, at the Armory at the DoubleTree Manchester Downtown, is likely a smaller gathering, less than the full-blown rallies he’s known for.
Trump has held only a single campaign event since declaring his candidacy last November, in Waco, Texas, on March 25. He has made a few smaller trips, like a Jan. 29 one-day jaunt through New Hampshire and then to South Carolina before flying home to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
Trump has made selected public appearances as he tries to become the first president to return to the White House after being out of office since President Grover Cleveland in 1893. Trump on April 15 spoke at a Republican donors’ event in Nashville, Tennessee. He then headed to Indianapolis for a National Rifle Association convention, joining declared and potential GOP primary rivals in talking up their support for gun rights.
