A Manhattan grand jury will reportedly not hear the case against former President Donald Trump for the rest of this week, pushing back a possible indictment until at least Monday.
Sources told ABC News of that development, which would put an end to speculation that charges were imminent in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation into Trump over alleged hush money payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election cycle.
The grand jury is convening Thursday to consider a different case and is expected to return to the Trump inquiry as early as next week. The panel also did not meet to hear evidence in the Trump case on Wednesday as was expected.
