Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) reaffirmed he would support former President Trump if Trump becomes the GOP’s 2024 presidential nominee, calling back to the party loyalty pledge he signed to participate in debates.
“I signed a pledge,” DeSantis said in an MSNBC interview Thursday. “That pledge is what it is.”
But the governor also said a candidate who is convicted of a crime shouldn’t be nominated by Republicans in the first place and noted he believes voters will agree.
